Orezza water has its source in a magnificent chestnut grove in the regional park of Haute Corse, close to the small village of Rapaggio.
Known since the time of the Romans for its medicinal benefits, its virtues were recognized officially thanks to a decree from Napoleon III, giving it the status of “public interest”, and the authorization for being commercially exploited.
In the 19th century, Orezza water was used in thermal cures thanks to its high content of iron, magnesium, bicarbonate and other minerals, which allowed it to have healing properties especially in cases of anemia, digestive disorders and several other diseases.
It was even sent to the soldiers in the former colonies to keep them in good shape.
It unfortunately disappeared at the end of the 20th century, but was resurrected by a new company and a new bottling plant, with the highest European standards of quality at the beginning of the 21st century.
Today, the water of Orezza has resumed its emblematic status of representation of the Island of Beauty, and is distributed throughout Corsica, the continent, of course, but also in New York, Japan and in many countries.
Thanks to its mineral qualities and its natural gasification, the water of Orezza is served on the best tables of the great restaurants of France (Bocuse, Ducasse, Bach …) as well as in the good restaurants of the left bank in Paris .
